This AR tour project uses spatial computing to preserve and share the collective memory of the kibbutz, allowing visitors to see historical photos, videos, and stories at the exact locations where they occurred.
Historical Context
Kibbutzim (plural of kibbutz) are collective communities in Israel that were traditionally based on agriculture but have evolved significantly over the decades. These communities played a pivotal role in the establishment of the state of Israel and represent a unique social experiment combining socialism, Zionism, and pioneering spirit.
Kibbutz Zikim, founded in 1949, sits near the Gaza border and has a particularly rich history of agricultural innovation, security challenges, and cultural development. As younger generations move away from traditional kibbutz life and the original founders age, there is an urgent need to preserve these stories and experiences.

Technical Implementation
