Pause VR creates therapeutic virtual environments that transport users to calming natural settings like forests, beaches, and mountains. The application combines guided meditation techniques with immersive 3D audio that responds to user position and gaze, creating a deeply engaging wellness experience. Users can select from various nature-based settings with adjustable session durations from 5-30 minutes, allowing for personalized meditation practices that build resilience to stress over time.

Technical Innovation

Built using Unity for Oculus headsets, Pause VR features custom shaders for realistic natural environments and specialized 3D audio systems. The application incorporates biofeedback sensors to monitor user stress levels and breathing patterns, providing real-time adjustments to the meditation experience. Interactive elements respond subtly to breathing patterns and gaze, while the system tracks focus and relaxation metrics to provide post-session summaries that help users understand their progress.
